On this particular cold and gloomy day we explored Coffin Bay National Park, in South Australia. The land is so rough and rugged, with cliffs that drop straight into the wild ocean and winds that threaten to knock you down flat. As tempting as a surf on the reef break below the cliffs looked, we were more than happy to get back to our warm and comfortable van. Just around from the cliffs was a large area of forest that had been affected by fire. We were not sure if it was from back burning or other causes but it's always sad to see the aftermath of a forest fire. Being in this environment reminds you how harsh mother nature can be and how vulnerable we all are to her.
